Family Child Care is offering Free Returning Home Care Eligibility: If you are an active duty member, the Family Child Care PCS Program provides 20 hours of FREE child care per child within 60 days of PCS'ing. Contact the Airman and Family Readiness Center for vouchers and provide them with a copy of your orders. You can call them at 777-4681.




SUBSIDY PROGRAM
Application Process:
  • Complete form DD-2652 provided by FCC Office.
  • Provide most current LES or pay stub, proof of fulltime student status, etc.
  • Applicants will be assigned an Income Category I-VI.
  • If approved, weekly provider free will be based on income Category
  • Make an appointment with the Family Child Care Office by calling 777-0695.





Child Care in Base Housing Licensing Requirement: In accordance with AFI 34-276, Family Child Care Programs, chapter 1, paragraph 1.3 and 1.4.3, "Any individual caring for other families' children a total of 10 hours per week on a regular basis must be licensed to provide care in on-base quarters." Penalty for violation of this 10 hour per week rule is, "The support group commander may revoke the housing privileges of individuals who provide child care and refuse to become licensed or who continue to provide care after their license has been suspended or revoked."

Please give us a call if you are interested in becoming a FCC Provider 777-0695. Please be aware that if you live on base you must be licensed through our office to provide child care.

Family Child Care Program helps with free Extended Duty Care! Active duty members sometimes rely on their neighbors to assist with child care for the extended hours; however, the Family Child Care program here can help through the Extended Duty Child Care program. Extended Duty Care Program


NO COST TO THE PARENT-this program is subsidized by the Air Force.

Parents obtain licensed child care through the Family Child Care Office for duty-related reasons such as shift changes, extended workdays, and weekend duty.

How to enroll?

  • Pick up the required forms from the Family Child Care Office, Child Development Center, Youth Center, or Family Support Center
  • AF Form 1181, Air Force Youth Flight Program Patron Registration
  • AF Form 356, Family Care Certification
  • Parent Memorandum of Agreement and Understanding of Air Force Extended Duty Child Care Program
  • Obtain written verification from your supervisor that extended care is needed
  • Provide the Family Child Care Office with a copy of the child's shot records
  • Once all of the paperwork has been turned in to the Family Child Care Office, specific reservations for the days and times care is needed can be scheduled through the Family Child Care Office with the provider during the week
  • Short notice requirements, during the weekend, can be scheduled with the Family Child Care providers
  • Parents may visit the home of the Family Child Care provider that is caring for their child as long as the child has been previously enrolled into the program
