Garden Plots
Spring planting is here and Outdoor Recreation has garden plots available. If you love fresh vegetables but lack the space for a garden, this is the answer! The individual garden area is 60ftx40ft and can be rented for $25 which covers the water. The planting season runs April 15 through October 15.

Skate Park
The skate park is located just south of the base chapel on 11th Street. The park offers a great opportunity for recreational fun for skateboarders and in-line skaters. Like all recreational activities there are risks associated with skate parks. To help reduce injuries and for the safety of all skate park users, we have established rules which are posted at the park and available here.

Equestrian Club
The club's goal is to provide a safe, healthy atmosphere in which its members and guests can share recreational equestrian activities. This includes the stabling of members horses and the sharing of individual experiences and training in horsemanship, care, and grooming.
The club has 20 enclosed stalls with an attached 14x28 foot run. The dues are currently $45 per month and you provide your own hay. There are 2 large turn outs/arenas, 2 round corrals, 10 paddock areas to accommodate the 20 horses. There are two horses assigned per paddock. There is an additional quarantine pen used for new members
The HAFB Veterinarian requires all horses be vaccinated and provides the shots upon request. New horses will be required to show documentation of requirements, current within 6 months, and must undergo a 5 day quarantine under the supervision of the base veterinarian. All shots have to be completed 10 days prior to entering quarantine.
Utah offers some of the best horseback riding in the country, no matter what type of riding you prefer. There are many indoor arenas in the local area as well as a variety of back country trails within 30 minutes of HAFB.
